Where Reading Becomes Fun
Every Monday we start the week our right by heading to the local Library. Showing children just how fun exploring the world of reading can be. Not only do we pick out new books to read and have story time, but we also join the local Library Club. This club further instills the love of reading by allowing the children to earn prizes at the end of summer for hitting certain reading goals.
Exploring and showing kids the wonderful world of nature is what we love to do! Your child will get the fun opportunity to visiting a new park once a week. Laumeier sculpture park, Jaycee park, Veterans Tribute Park, Laurel Park, Lone Elk Park, Frontier Park, including walking around historic St. Charles and learning about all the history that is right at their fingertips.
We go on a variety of field trips beyond just parks. A couple of times a week we get out and visit places such as: Big Joel's Safari, Endangered Wolf Sanctuary, Museum of Transportation, Myseum,St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis Zoo, and many more
Each week we have a new theme that not only is a blast for the kids, but also helps teach them new skills in a fun and interactive way. Some examples are...
Culinary Week: children learn the art and math of cooking by getting to be hands on in the kitchen with measuring, preparing, and cooking a snack and meal. Learning sensory and communication in a joyful way.
Carnival Week: Let the games begin! Your child will have fun all week creating signs, games, photo booth, tattoo station, and more while they get everything set up for a carnival that we have at the end of the week on Friday.
Harry Potter Week: We dive into the magic world of books with everything Harry Potter, including Quidditch World Cup.
